Infertility

Infertility may be caused by more than one factor, and there are a variety of tests and procedures that can help evaluate the causes of infertility.

We provide basic workups for women, including a physical exam, menstrual, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted disease history and birth control history.  We may also perform a pap smear or blood tests.

The physician can also order other tests that look at a woman's reproductive organs.  These procedures can check the uterus and fallopian tubes for abnormalities.  The procedures you have will depend on your specific symptoms.  Procedures commonly ordered by our physician include a transvaginal ultrasound and a hysterosalpingogram.

Treatment for infertility varies with each couple.  We offer treatment with medications such as clomid and ovadril.  The physician may also choose to refer a couple on to a more specialized conception center for further evaluation.

You should check with your insurance carrier to make sure conception/infertility services are covered by your plan.
